Tampa, Fla. – Laurel Lee today won her reelection and released the following statement, attributable to her, regarding the people of Florida’s 15th Congressional District sending her back to Congress to represent them.
“What an amazing victory for our community and for our district.
“Thank you to my family for all their hard work and their sacrifice. I have said that public service is a calling and a duty, but it’s also a family commitment, and I want to thank them for being by my side as we fight for our community and the future of this great country together.
“I also want to thank my campaign team, volunteers and supporters. Without you, our collective victory would not have been possible.
“Tonight, we celebrate, but tomorrow we get back to work.
“We get back to work to secure our borders and keep America safe from the policies that have endangered not only our border states, but every state in the nation.
“We get back to work to make housing, groceries and the cost of living affordable again by passing policies that put Americans first and allow our economy to thrive.
“We get back to work to prioritize responsible spending and bring down the national debt.
“And, most importantly, we get back to work serving the people of this district. It has been an honor to represent the people of Florida’s 15th Congressional District these past two years, and I will strive to remain a strong voice in Washington and continue to make them proud of who they have representing them in Congress.”
