Tampa, Fla. – Laurel Lee today won the election for Florida Congressional District 15 and released the following statement, attributable to her, regarding the victory.
“When we started our campaign, we knew the catastrophic impacts that soaring gas prices and inflation were having on our communities, neighbors and businesses, and that these dangerous policies must be reversed by electing strong, principled leaders to Congress.
“We campaigned unwaveringly on our beliefs and conservative principles – strong borders, letting parents decide what is best for their children, keeping our businesses open so Floridians can work and provide for their families, and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with our men and women in law enforcement and our military – and that led us to victory.
“I am grateful to my family who recognized the need for me to run and supported me throughout the campaign, for the legions of volunteers who worked tirelessly to get the word out in CD 15, and to the commitment of so many friends, businesses and supporters to our campaign. This victory would not have been possible without this collective contribution.
“America is at a crossroads, and I promise to take this fight to Washington and work every day to put policies in place that put our communities, our law enforcement, our military, our safety, and our economic well-being and prosperity first.”
