U.S. Representatives from the state of Florida shared their reactions to the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump’s (R) life. On Saturday a gunman shot and nearly killed the former president at his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. President Trump’s right ear was pierced by a bullet, millimeters from an even more catastrophic event. Sadly, an audience member was killed, and two spectators were critically injured. Secret Service killed the gunman.

“Grateful to hear that President Trump is safe and doing well. Thank you to the brave law enforcement officers who put their lives at risk to protect President Trump. I am heartbroken to hear that someone lost their life. I am praying for their family and also for those who were injured. Political violence has no place in our country,” said Rep. Lee.
